Privacy Policy

The short version

Mnemo keeps everything on your device. There is no account, no server, no sync and no analytics. We cannot read your notes, photos or voice memos because they never leave your phone.

What Mnemo stores

Entries you file — title, text, tags, location label, attached photos, voice memos and review schedule — are written to storage inside the app on your device. Your display name and avatar are stored alongside them.

Your Quills balance and any active perks are kept in the same local storage. Nothing is uploaded.

What Mnemo does not do

• No account, no sign-in, no email address.
• No cloud backup or cross-device sync.
• No analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising network.
• No sharing, no social features, no other users.
• No access to your contacts, location services or calendar.

Who receives your data

Mnemo does not sell, rent or share your personal data with any third party. No analytics provider, advertising network or outside service of any kind receives your notes, photos or voice memos. The only third party involved is Apple, which processes in-app purchases you choose to make; we never receive your payment details, and your notes, photos and voice memos are never sent to Apple or to anyone else.

Permissions the app may request

Notifications. If you allow it, Mnemo schedules a local reminder when an entry reaches the review date you set. The reminder is generated on your device. You can turn it off at any time in Settings.

Camera. When you tap Take photo, Mnemo photographs a paper note or book page and stores the picture in the app on this device. Mnemo does not upload those pictures.

Photo library. When you tap Choose from Photos, Mnemo copies the picture you pick into its own storage on this device. When you tap Save to Photos, it writes an exported image into your photo library. Mnemo does not upload those pictures.

Microphone. When you tap Record, Mnemo captures a voice memo on this device. Tap Stop to finish. Mnemo does not upload the recording.

Tracking permission. Mnemo may ask for permission to use the advertising identifier to measure how often review reminders are opened, so reminder timing can be improved. This measurement is never linked to your notes, photos or voice memos. You can decline and the app works the same.

Purchases

Quills are a consumable in-app currency used for one-time and timed perks. Quills are spent when you use a perk and are not restorable. Purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive your payment details.

Deleting your data

“Delete Account” in the Me tab erases every entry, photo, voice memo and setting stored by the app on this device. Because there is no server copy, deletion is immediate and permanent.

Children

Mnemo is a general-audience study tool. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, and contains no age-restricted content.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
